About

I was very fortunate to be able to switch careers to pursue my passion for aviation. I possess an airline transport pilot certificate for multi-engine aircraft as well as commercial privileges for single engine aircraft. Before joining my current employer as a flight instructor, I spent almost two years working as a first officer for a regional airline.

Prior to becoming a professional pilot, I had my own business providing strategic advice and public opinion research for public agencies and private clients to assess community support for a broad range of topics. My research offerings included public opinion surveys and in-person focus groups as well as the accompanying statistical analysis. I provided crucial research services for legal teams preparing for trial, candidates for various levels of office, as well as issues to gain support for schools, hospitals, libraries and parks.

I received my M.A.(Research) in Communication from Saint Louis University with my thesis focusing on time-series analysis. I also received a B.S. in Business from Saint Louis University, graduating with summa cum laude honors.

I am a member of the Civil Air Patrol, the Greater St. Louis Flight Instructors Association, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

Where I Instruct

I've taught all around the St. Louis metropolitan area, including airports with these identifiers: KCPS, KSUS, KSET, 1H0, KALN. I've spent the most time at St. Louis Downtown Airport (aka "Parks"), first at Ideal Aviation and now at Parks College at Saint Louis University.

A lot of people ask me about learning to fly and the first steps to become a pilot. In my experience, those students who successfully complete ground school before getting into an airplane to finish their training save both time and money.
